Big carryovers in the pick 6 ($45K, Races 4-9) and the super hi-5 ($88K, Race 9) add some spice to a card that, frankly, I struggled to handicap. My key plays in Races 3, 5 and 7 got some confidence boost due to scratches of chief rivals in Races 5 and 7, making #7 Smart Key and #6 Golden Hostess even more trustworthy. They both will be singles for me attacking the pick 6.
Luis Saez, injured in a spill on Tuesday, will be off his mounts for the second straight day.
Overnight and early morning rains have given way to sunny skies. Track conditions are muddy and the turf is good.
